How to digitally sign a PDF in Acrobat Pro

To begin, launch the PDF document using Acrobat Pro.

  1. In the top-right corner of the toolbar, you will find a field labeled “Find text or tools,” accompanied by a magnifying glass icon.

  1. Click in the field to open a pop-up. Begin typing "digital," and an option will appear for you to digitally sign using a certificate.

  1. Select "Digitally Sign" and then choose "Use a certificate." This action will prompt a box containing instructions to appear.

 

  1. Click "OK," and your cursor will change to a format resembling a plus sign. Position your cursor at the desired location for the signature, then drag it out to form a square. A window will pop up, prompting you to select the Digital ID you wish to use for signing. If you haven't set up a digital ID yet, you can configure one at this time.

  1. On the next screen, please enter your PIN or password. After that, click on "Continue," save your document, and you're all set!
