Webcam not working in Chrome

The most common cause of a webcam not working with a web application in chrome is that the user has blocked the camera.

To confirm this:

You will see the following Icon in the Address Bar.

Open

To correct this:

Click the 3 vertical dots and select “settings” from the menu.

Open

Scroll down to advanced.

Click on “Content settings”

Under “Block”, you should see the URL of the web application that the camera is not functioning. Press the Trash icon to delete the block.

Close the settings.

Refresh the page of the web application.

You should receive a permission notification. Select “Allow”

Camera should be working now.
