For laptops, it is recommended that when it is on battery that you don't set it to never. 20 minutes should be the max. It is okay for when it is plugged in. If you computer loses power by running out of battery, this can corrupt your hard drive and data.
Windows 11:
Click Start → Search Settings.
Click System. Click Power & Battery.
Click Screen, sleep & Hibernate timeouts.
For each option, select the desired time.
Windows 10:
1. Go to the Start - > Settings.
