Data Protection with Sensitivity Labels

Data protection with sensitivity labels helps to prevent the unauthorized disclosure of data owned by a CCCS institution, as well as reduce the risk that sensitive information is shared accidentally or used inappropriately. Send an email with the Sensitive label applied

 

In the new email message window, apply the Sensitive label to the new message, or attach a document that has the Sensitive label applied. When sending the message to an email address outside of the CCCS system, a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm that you do want to send the message to the email address.

 

Click the Confirm and Send button to send the message.

 If you send the message to an email address within the CCCS system, the message is sent without displaying the pop-up.

 

 

Send an email with the Restricted label applied 

In the new email message window, apply the Restricted label to the new message, or attach a document that has the Restricted label applied. When sending the message to an email address outside of the CCCS system, a pop-up will appear asking you to provide justification for sending the Restricted information to the email address. 

Choose one of the built-in justifications or choose the Other (explain) radio button and type your justification in the text box. Then click the Confirm and Send button to send the message.

If you send the message to an email address within the CCCS system, the message is sent without displaying the pop-up.
